Arboricultural Method Statement
Harmil Environmental's team of expert aboriculturalists have extensive experience in undertaking tree surveys and producing professional and comprehensive tree reports required to meet planning conditions.
Working throughout the UK, we have worked on a wide range of projects throughout the UK and continue to work with private clients, architects, developers and local authorities. Our aim is to make developments proceed as smoothly as possible whilst working under the jurisdiction of the wildlife laws.
When do I need an Arboricultural Method Statement?
Tree surveys are often a requirement for planning applications. Trees are vital features of a landscape and offer many benefits from aesthetical factors to scientific factors.
If construction is required with the root protection area of a tree a council will usually condition an Arboricultural Method Statement as part of the planning approval. This details how construction will be carried out, the timings of operations and any special construction measures that will be employed to lessen long term impacts to trees.
The Arboricultural Method Statement is a methodology for dealing with the implementation of any aspect of development that has the potential to result in the loss of, or damage to, trees.
How can Harmil help?
Harmil Environmental's arboriculturalists are licensed to carry out tree surveys anywhere in the UK with prices starting from as low as £250.
We undertake the necessary arboriculture surveys for developments, from small-scale extensions to large-scale developments. The surveys follow the regulations that are set out in the ‘BS 5837:2012 Trees in relation to design, demolition and construction – Recommendations.’
Our Arboricultural Method Statements provide clear solutions for each client. Some site supervision may be required to ensure working methods are employed correctly.
